Volunteers play a key role in the success of the ministry at Living River.

Individual Volunteers
We need help with everything from gardening to trail maintenance to assisting in our office. Whether you have a passion for cooking, enjoy working outdoors or love meeting and interacting with new people, we have a place for you to serve at Living River.

We've been fortunate to have a wide variety of work groups help at Living River. From small construction projects to trail buildings, volunteer work groups play a key role in the continuing development of Living River. If your church, scout, civic or other group is looking for an opportunity to serve, we can provide the right project to match your needs.

Summer Camp Volunteers
Below are job descriptions for a few of Living River's annual Summer Camp volunteer needs, including program leaders and healthcare providers.

Program Leadership
Each Summer Camp session has a Chaplain that leads morning chapel and an evening, campfire devotion. Chaplains also build relationships with campers and staff as able and provide pastoral care for campers and counselors as needed. Click here for the full Chaplain job description.
For Creative Camp, Living River seeks fine arts professionals (art, music, dance, writing, etc.) who are willing to be present for the week of camp, teach daily sessions about their craft, and build relationships with the campers and staff. Click here for the full Creative Leader job description.
Healthcare Providers
The Healthcare Provider is an extremely important part of our summer program. Physicians, Registered Nurses or EMTs can serve in this position. The Healthcare Provider is in charge of medication and any injuries that might happen during the camping session. Volunteer Healthcare Providers may have a child or grandchild attend a camp session at no charge. Click here for the full job description.
